How Much Weight Do You Want to Lose?

Thanks to everyone who has sent their weight loss stories for posting here. I've been getting some really inspiring stories from people who've lost a lot of weight - typically over a 100 pounds. There are none in my mailbox now so please send me yours if you have one to share! (Please note though, that I'm not interested in promoting any special diet products; just real stories about lifestyle changes..)

HOW MANY POUNDS DO YOU WANT TO LOSE?

But I'm also hoping to hear from some people who need to lose just 10 or 20 pounds. Often those ten or twenty pounds away from ideal weight is the hardest weight to shed. It's not clear how many of the readers who drop by here are in this category of having less than twenty pounds to lose. The last time I asked was a few years ago. I got 462 responses. At that time 40% of readers said they wanted to lose 30 pounds or less, so it seems there are a lot of people who would want to read about this type of weight loss achievement. It's not as extreme or dramatic as losing over 100 pounds but it can be difficult to do.

I'd love to take another poll to ask:  How many pounds do YOU want to lose? But the blogger poll tool is broken so if you'd like to comment instead below, please do!

Believe it or not, you can simply wait out a craving. Sometimes we may even mistake a craving for actual hunger. Playing the waiting game will help you distinguish between the two.

I am part of the 24.5% in the under 10 group, but here is a tip for all groups and drinkers of diet soda. I lost six pounds just by cutting out diet soda. I had always heard that soda makes you hungrier. I think I proved it to myself. I exercise and drink plenty of water. This was a difference maker.

Most people seem to want to lose a little weight and struggle. The people I admire the most are those who are very heavy and begin a weight loss journey with a long way to go- these people who stick at it and lose the weight are courageous and strong and should be praised at every step!
Healthy eating and exercise are the simple keys with extra things like green tea fat burner products that help you along the way.
Good luck to everyone on their weight loss journeys! May the force be with you!! ;)

Hello! I'm new here, but I'm in the 10 pounds and under category. I successfully lost 50 pounds about 10 years ago and have gained 20 back in the past few years. So in the midst of my second journey, I have lost 13.5 pounds and have 7.5 pounds to go. I'm seeing that these last 7.5 are going to require me to work harder. I would love to read some inspirational stories on small weight losses!

Hello everyone, my name is Brittney and I currently sell AdvoCare products through my website www.healthylifelivingright.com. The product, which has helped me lose the most weight in the past (15 pounds), is the 24 day challenge. I was so happy with the results that I proudly endorse the product and share it with everyone I know. I currently have ten friends taking the challenge, and all of them are having great success with it. The reason that I love the challenge is because the products are all natural and extremely healthy vitamins and minerals. The reason it works is due in large part to the right mixture of vitamins and minerals at the right time. If this sounds even somewhat interesting, please feel free to visit the website or contact me at brittney.watson4@yahoo.com. I will be happy to answer any of your questions, and put you on the same path I took towards a successful and healthy lifestyle.

There are people who want to lose weight and what their new life. Why do we tend to lose weight?

In my opinion and my experience, it was very depressing and full of regrets because of rumors that I'm fat, can't fit the right clothes, always laughing at me, making fun of and even riding a bus.

Those are the things that I would like to change their impression and now getting to what I want, I could say I'm now close to my target.

About 3 months ago I started a journey to lose 20 pounds. I had grown frustrated with my appearance so I did something about it.

I started taking 2 mile nature walks each day. I changed my diet. I totally eliminated sodas, juice, junk foods, fast foods, fried foods. I had plenty of water, veggies and baked foods.

I also purchased a stationary bike and rode it for 10 miles every day. I also mixed in a little p90x.

I lost 20 pounds in about 8 weeks. I look great and I feel great.

I opted for weight loss coaching to help me lose 35 pounds. I’ve currently lost 25 pounds (in 10 weeks) and I have another 10 to go! I’ll admit, sometimes it gets difficult to stay motivated, but then again, it’s not like I have an option. You’ve got to keep at it. You’ll be glad that you did.

I am in the 150+ pounds to lose category. I just started my own blog to document my journey to getting healthy. I am sure I have lost (and gained all back) thousands of pounds over the years. I am determined to get it right this time. Hopefully, one day I will be able to submit a success story to you!
