Losing the First 40 Pounds in Four Months

Don wants to weigh 210 pounds again.

He has been overweight for over 25 years.

Four months ago he weighed 365 pounds. That's when he set his goal to lose the weight and to bike an average of 100 miles a week. He has lost 40 pounds since then.

Last week he posted this on his blog;

"I am a half pound from my official “40 pounds lost” day! It has been a little bit of a culture shock.

Don on Day One, Four Months Ago
I can get in and out of my car easier. I am now wearing 3X shirts instead of 4X. I’m ready to buy a new belt…I’m on the last hole!

When I hear people talking about getting in shape, I smile inside knowing that I am riding my bike 20 miles every day. I remember when I needed to lose 155lbs!! Now it’s only 115lbs! I know you’re laughing…Only 115lbs I say. But it is great to know that things are changing."

Please check out his blog - 210 Again - and encourage him on his journey. He has made a couple of inspiring short videos - one from the first day and one after 100 days.

Congrats on your fabulous progress Don!

I'm very happy for you. I know the effort you put in to lose that 40 lbs. I know i couldn't ride a bike for 20 miles each day. I myself had lost 10 lbs this month on Roca Labs which had decreased my food intake in half. I commend you for your determination.

I think one of the keys to successful weight loss is having an accountability. Every week I get to post for the world where I'm at. However, biking has been a great choice of exercise. Thank you for your kind comments. -Don

Congrats to you! You inspire me.
By the way, I went to see a gastric bypass surgeon in Georgia and I was frustrated as I am not qualified for surgery; he recommended me to try a bypass surgery alternative, Roca Labs. He said that Roca Labs is the way of the future. He advised me to get a second option from my own doctor which I did; and since my doctor okay on this alternative to surgery upon reviewing the ingredients and side effects, I tried and I was surprised on how effective it was. In 3 months time, I lost a total of 42 pounds; by the fourth month I hit my goal of 60 pounds. It was an amazing experience and it made my family very happy for discovering an alternative to surgery nowadays which helps me gain a healthy weight and habits, too.

I want to have a good relationship with my body. Yes, I’m unhappy with my body and I’m going to work on it as hard as I can, but I don’t want to sacrifice my mental health. It may take longer to lose weight a healthier way, but at least I will be happy doing it.

After having experienced clinical depression, I can feel myself slipping back into that same space, and I don’t want to be there again.

Now this is nothing against anyone who is doing the SGD, because it may very well work for you and it’s your choice to do it, but it simply isn’t working at all for me, mentally.

That is all.

Why is it that we have 21st century medicine and the greatest resources available to us on earth now more than ever, but people are just getting fatter and more and more unhealthy?"

In this short weight loss presentation I will teach you a somewhat unusual weight loss strategy that can help you get a flatter belly in under 7 days, while still enjoying the foods you love. This is the first tip that I always teach my patients here in Fishers, IN. And is the same tip that helped one of my patients whom I'm most proud of, (Lori) lose 2 inches from her belly, lose 8 lbs in only 9 days, lose 2 inches from each thigh, lose ¾ of an inch from each arm, and drop 3 dress sizes (At the age of 30, she now wears a smaller dress than she did in high school!).

Lori ultimately lost 90 pounds and I'll share with you 1 tip that helped her get there. I can't leave this video up for long, so be sure to watch it from beginning to end while it's still here. Please note: If you leave the page and come back, the video will automatically restart at the beginning.

Thanks and enjoy!
