A Weight Loss Motivation App for the iPad

Thanks to Adriana for giving us 25 free copies to hand out. Here is the scoop;

This app helps you visualize your weight loss. It's great motivation for losing weight!

You begin personalizing the model by setting your current height and weight as well as your heaviest weight and your goal weight.

Keep a track record of your weight loss and visualize how you'll look when you reach your next lower weight goal.

Your model is based on BMI calculations so she will look different for women who weigh the same but are different heights.

See the Weight Loss Virtual Model on your iPad or iPhone.

Update: Dec 16th 2011. See the male version of the weight loss app here.

A person can only gain weight when the ratio of calories consumed and calories burned is way over 1.0 and if less than 1 then that person has nothing to worry about. It doesn't matter what you eat but how many calories it is and how consistent your food habits are, meaning if you eat once a day that is perfectly fine as long as you do it at the same time every day. In that case, the body does not accumulate lots of calories into reserve but burns them out. Exercising is almost irrelevant in weight gain/loss process. If someone runs 2 miles for 15 minutes the calories burned will be around 250. Think about how many miles you have to be running every day to burn 1000 calories.

What a great motivational tool for keeping you going with your weight loss goals. I definately think that visualizing your ideal weight and body is a great method of sef motivation when it comes to exercising and fitness - because sometimes it can be such a task to feel up to getting up and working out - any little thing to help is worth it!
